Dental Services

Whether your dental needs are a complete exam and cleaning, a full-mouth restoration, we promise to provide exceptional care as we enhance the natural beauty of your smile.

  • Dental Exams

A comprehensive dental exam will be performed at your first visit, including diagnostic x-rays, oral cancer screening, gum disease evaluation and examination of tooth decay and existing restorations.

  • Dental X-Rays

Diagnostic radiographs detect decay, tumors, cysts and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Our office is also equipped with panoramic and CT Scan imaging.

  • Dental Cleanings

Professional dental cleanings are performed by general dentists or Registered Dental Hygienists. Cleanings performed with ultrasonic and hand-scaling consist of calculus (tartar) and plaque removal and teeth polishing.

  • Composite Fillings

A comprehensive dental exam will be performed at your first visit, including diagnostic x-rays, oral cancer screening, gum disease evaluation and examination of tooth decay and existing restorations.

  • Porcelain Fixed Bridges

A dental bridge is a non-removal appliance intended to replace missing teeth consisting of two crowns that reside over anchoring teeth are are affixed to pontics (artificial teeth).

  • Porcelain Crowns

A crown is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface, restoring the tooth to its original shape and size. Porcelain crowns are made to match the shape, size, and color or your teeth.

  • Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are very thin pieces or durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom-made and bonded to the front of teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile. Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile.

  • Dentures & Partial Dentures

A denture is a removable dental appliance replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. They are made to closely resemble your natural teeth and may even enhance your smile.

  • Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening is the preferred whitening method because even though stronger agents are applied, the rest of the mouth is protected. Our whitening systems feature a buffer in the gel that protects the tooth enamel from damage, are extremely effective, and can transform teeth in a single office visit.

  • Dental Implants

Dental implants are a method of replacing missing teeth while providing a fixed solution to having removable partial or complete dentures. Implants provide excellent support and stability for these dental appliances. Dental implants are artificial roots and teeth (usually titanium) that are surgically placed into the upper or lower jaw bone by a dentist or Periodontist.

  • Wisdom Teeth Extractions

Third molars (wisdom teeth) are usually the last four of 32 teeth to erupt in the mouth, generally making their appearance between the ages of 17 to 25. In most cases, inadequate space in the mouth does not allow the wisdom teeth to erupt properly and become fully functional. When this happens, the tooth can become impacted (stuck) in an undesirable or potentially harmful position. If left untreated, impacted wisdom teeth can contribute to infection, damage to other teeth, and possibly cysts or tumors.

  • Sinus Augmentation

If bone has been lost due to injury or periodontal disease, a sinus augmentation can raise the sinus floor to allow for new bone formation. In the most common technique, a tiny incision is made near the upper premolar or molar region to expose the jawbone. A small opening is cut into the bone and the membrane lining the sinus on the other side of the opening is gently pushed upward. The underlying space is filled with bone graft material and the incision is closed.

  • Scaling and Root Planing

Scaling and root planing — or deep cleaning — is intended to remove etiologic agents which cause inflammation to the gingival (gum) tissue and surrounding bone. Common etiologic agents removed by this conventional periodontal therapy include dental plaque and tartar (calculus). These non-surgical procedures completely cleanse the periodontium and are an effective method for individuals suffering from gingivitis (mild gum inflammation) and moderate/severe periodontal disease.

  • Bone Grafting

Bone grafting is often closely associated with dental restorations. In the majority of cases, the success of a restoration procedure can hinge on the height, depth, and width of the jawbone at the implant site. When the jawbone has receded or sustained significant damage, the implant(s) cannot be supported on this unstable foundation and bone grafting is usually recommended for the ensuing restoration.

  • Laser-Assisted Periodontal Surgery

Laser therapy works by targeting only diseased gum, which it discerns by the color. The laser is then used to agitate the healthy tissue, encouraging it to reattach to the bone. Because of the regrowth of this connective tissue, there is also a much lower chance of gum disease returning than with traditional surgery.

  • Pinhole Surgical Technique PST™

The Pinhole Surgical Technique PST™ is a procedure in which specialized instruments are used to make a small hole in your gum and add collagen material which stabilizes the area of gum recession. This new method is simple, suture-free and minimally invasive. PST™ was developed and patented by John Chao, D.D.S. It has been featured in the International Journal of Periodontics, one of the most prestigious dentistry journals in the world.

  • Gum Grafting

A gum graft is a collective name for surgical periodontal procedures that aim to cover an exposed tooth root surface with grafted oral tissue. Exposed roots are usually the result of gingival recession due to periodontal disease.

  • Soft Tissue Grafting

Soft tissue grafting is often necessary to combat gum recession. Periodontal disease, trauma, aging, over-brushing and poor tooth positioning are the leading causes of gum recession. The main goal of soft tissue grafting is to either cover the exposed root or to thicken the existing gum tissue in order to halt further tissue loss.

  • Genetic Tests

Salivary DNA testing can determine the cause of periodontal infection. The report will tell you the type and concentration of disease-causing bacteria, the bacterial information necessary to help classify high-risk versus low-risk cases.

  • Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection. To save the tooth, the pulp (the living tissue inside the tooth), nerves, bacteria and any decay are removed and the resulting space is filled with special, medicated, dental materials, which restore the tooth to its full function.

  • Root Canal Retreatment

Root canal retreatment involves the removal of the previous crown and packing material, the cleansing of the root canals, and the re-packing and re-crowning of the tooth. Root canal retreatment is almost identical to the original procedure, aside from the structural removal.

  • Invisalign

Invisalign - sometimes known as “clear braces” - is a form of teeth straightening that uses clear plastic aligners to move teeth into alignment gradually.

  • Orthodontic Retainers

Orthodontic retainers are used after braces or Invisalign treatment to keep your teeth from shifting. Most frequently, clear, removable retainers are recommended after orthodontic treatment is completed.

Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ) & Bruxism

  • Occlusal Guard

An occlusal guard, or night guard, fits over your teeth in order to protect them from the damages common with nightly clenching and grinding. They are similar to mouth guards worn during sports but are made of a thinner, smoother plastic.

  • NTI Appliance

The NTI appliance is a tension suppression system, which simply means it prevents the clenching action. No clenching means less wear and tear to your teeth, less jaw pain and even fewer migraines.

  • Ferrar Appliance

The Ferrar is a maxillary repositioning splint popular for patients who clench or grind. The anterior deprogramming ramp is modified for both comfort and function. The acrylic is relieved, forming a loop which functionally keeps the mandible in a protrusive position. The Ferrar is designed with posterior occlusal coverage.
